Immersive Imaging Panoramas
Panoramic
immersive imaging (or virtual reality photography) is a multimedia technique
for showing interactive 360° panoramic photographs. These panoramas
are created by photographing a series of overlapping still photographs,
in precise alignment, that cover the full 360° view. (As seen to
right.) The images are then "stitched" together to create a
seamless view. When viewing, the viewer has full control of the camera
angle, zoom and tilt. Arjay uses QuickTime VR, MGI's Photo Vista, VR Toolbox's
PanoWorx and IBM's Hot Media technologies to produce the panoramas. Click
on one of the thumbnails below to see this amazing technology in action.
These panoramas are
viewed with Panorama Tools Java Viewer. Java must be installed on your
computer. If the panoramas do not work, click
here to install Java on your computer.
