Smoked Gouda is a smooth, mellow cheese with a rich, smoked, nutty flavor. While often served as an appetizer or for snacks, try using it on top of pizza for a change of pace.

FRICO® Smoked Gouda Country Biscuits

2 cups flour
1 Tbsp. baking powder
3/4 tsp. salt
1/2 cup Frico® Smoked Gouda, shredded
1-1/2 cups heavy cream
4 Tbsp. butter, melted
1/2 tsp. garlic powder
1/2 tsp. onion powder
1/2 tsp. parsley, chopped

Preheat oven to 425°F.
Mix flour, baking powder, salt and cheese together in a large mixing bowl.
Slowly add heavy cream. Add just enough cream to hold dough together.
Knead dough for one minute, then flatten out to 3/4" thick. Cut with a cookie cutter into desired shape.
Mix butter with garlic powder, onion powder, and parsley. Brush on both sides of biscuit, and place on an ungreased baking sheet.
Bake for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown.

Makes 12 biscuits
